Modern Warfare 3 has left players outraged with the underwhelming release of Open Combat Missions within the campaign. These missions have players falling asleep at their desks whilst trying to complete vague and boring tasks, such as diffusing bombs.
The Gora Dam Open Combat mission features four bombs that need to be diffused, however, the locations are quite misleading and hard to find. Below, we'll go over the locations for each of the bombs.
The mission features Ghost diffusing four bombs located around the Verdansk dam, allowing players to choose either stealth or loud approaches. The four separate bombs are located in the following areas:
Each general location of the bomb is prompted, making the locations rather easy to find, however, the underwater location proves a difficult task because the water is completely pitch black, preventing players from finding the bomb.
Additionally, the bomb located underneath the spawn is also hard to find. Look at the flood light located to the right of the weapon scope in the image above. Head towards it, drop off the ledge the light is mounted on, and head inside the doors leading to one of the bomb locations; follow the claymores.
To find the underwater bomb, simply head to the truck parked on the road. Look for the orange wiring on the floor and follow it into the water, swim downwards until you find the prompt asking you to diffuse the bomb.
Players have mentioned having trouble with the bomb mounted onto the moving truck. It's recommended that you wait for the truck to stop moving before you try and diffuse it. To stop the truck, make yourself seen, and eventually, the truck will park and play defensive, once you kill everyone around it that's your chance to diffuse the bomb worry-free.
