A statement from Technoblade confirming his passing was uploaded by his father in a YouTube video titled "so long nerds." Technoblade, who had kept his identity a secret from his supporters, disclosed in the video that his real name was Alexander.

Approximately eight hours before he passed away, Technoblade composed his farewell message to his admirers, according to his father.
